COMMUNITY ACTIONFamily life gets busy. Between work, school and everything else, families don’t always get enough time to sit down, talk and enjoy each other.
The Pee Dee Community Action Partnership Strengthening Families Program (SFP) gives families that time.
For 11 weeks, parents, caregivers, children and teens come together to eat, learn, talk, laugh and build skills they can use at home.

The Strengthening Families Program is an evidence-based family skills training program that brings parents, caregivers, children and teens together.
Families strengthen skills in areas such as:
Each SFP night begins with a family meal.
Parents and caregivers participate in their own sessions while children and teens take part in age-appropriate sessions.
Parents, caregivers, children and teens come back together for family activities. This gives families an opportunity to practice what they have learned, communicate with one another and enjoy time together.
Each weekly session lasts approximately 2½ hours.
You don’t have to wait until your family is having problems to work on making your family stronger. SFP gives families dedicated time to:
There are also family activities, incentives and special celebrations throughout the program.
At the end of the program, families who successfully complete SFP are recognized during a special SFP Graduation Celebration.
11 weeks can make a difference that lasts much longer.
